The Swan, Caledonian Canal and Inner Hebrides in May

The Swan in the flotilla
The Swan was the biggest fishing boat ever built at Lerwick in the Shetland Islands and was launched in 1900.

Our photograph was taken at the Caledonian Canal during 'The Crossing 2009'

'The Crossing was established by British Waterways Scotland to create an event that celebrated the Caledonian Canal, its 200 year history, the heritage and culture of the area and the communities surrounding it.'

Lady Kathryn

Introducing Lady Kathryn.

We've waited a year to be introduced and,  while we were visiting the Caledonian Canal today,  there she was.

Undergoing final preparations for the 2013 season,  we were welcomed aboard to find out more about the her owner's activities this year.

We've got a choice of cruises.

Breakfast,  afternoon tea,  or dinner.

I guess it's going to be afternoon tea when we have visitors...   and I'm sure to want to write about it here.

Manndalen 2013

Entering Manndalen
This morning we've booked the flights for 'himself' to visit his friends in Manndalen.

It's rather unusual for us to fly,  certainly not if we're travelling together, however for the visits to Manndalen,  it is much more sensible.

Countdown-  3 weeks to go.

Resipole Gallery
We were invited to visit Resipole Gallery's first exhibition of the season.

Usually they hold art exhibitions,  paintings by Andrew Sinclair and other artists.
