Molde

MS Boudicca had docked in silence before dawn. As passengers made their

way to breakfast they were greeted with the harbour-side view of Molde,

often called the City of Roses.

Today, it is not the fragrance of roses, but the crisp cold air at

around 1°C that tingles in the air.

To the south, the views of the Romsdal Mountains, dazzling in their

white winter coat are beautiful in the morning sunlight.

In the afternoon, a visit to the Bergtatt Grotto, a magnificent

man-made cavern from which marble has been mined. Sailing in silence on

its crystal clear subterranean lake is memorable.

Now we head into the darkness as we set sail towards the Arctic Circle

and Tromsø.
