The north

This morning we woke in Hammerfest and have had lunch in Honningsvåg in bright sunshine with a temperature of around 2 degrees centigrade.   The snow remains thick on the ground and Honningsvåg, like most of Norway,  is on their Easter holiday.   This is seeing Norway for real.
The museum is open with Bamse standing guard outside and the Cafe Corner was showing signs of life with a snow blower being used to clear the balcony.   MS Finnmarken is serving a seafood buffet at dinner this evening so there is no question of looking for a king crab salad this afternoon in Honningsvåg.
