The Boathouse Restaurant

It seemed like a good afternoon to visit this new restaurant at Kingairloch. Coffee and home baking and the opportunity to look at the menu.

We sat on the decking looking out over the loch and watched a gannet diving. I can thoroughly recommend a visit here although I think I'd be inclined to book for lunch or dinner.

The sun is shining

... perfect day for taking photographs and the AIS tracking that I usually look at doesn't appear to be working this morning. Oh well, nothing new for today but at least the garden will be looked at.

I saw this yacht (or should I say Bristol Pilot Cutter) in the Sound of Mull and wondered about her. My friend phoned tonight to say she is the 'Mascotte', built in 1904 and now sailing from Arisaig.

Summer plans

This summer should, hopefully, see us increase our photo library with more images of wildlife, scenery and ships. Watch this space as our teams blog their way around the country and upload their photos to the website.

Photography on the Blog

In order to ensure that we can display a summary of the most recent blog posts on the website we may not add photographs to many postings. It will be trial and error for the first few weeks.

The slideshow is a 'gadget' that goes with the blogging software to show images from FLICKR so it will be interesting to see how well this works.

Friday 29 May has seen us manage to finally integrate the Totally Scotland website, FLICKR images and blog so they interact and share content between them.

Welcome to Totally Scotland's long awaited blog. Interacting with our main website you should now find us making regular posts throughout the weeks and months.
